For the past 18 months or so, almost every day, I have passed by Peter and finally decided to stop and check in on him yesterday. The video is my interaction with Peter after I dropped off some fresh and hot Chinese food for him for dinner. He’s close to getting off the streets, and tomorrow, October 13th, is his 67th birthday. I plan to surprise him on his birthday and help get him into the studio apartment he mentions. I sincerely appreciate any consideration you provide for him. Anthony is no different than you or me. Unfortunately, a series of setbacks led to Anthony being homeless. But he has an earnest desire to work, the ability to, a long history of it, no arrest record, and no addictions. I promised Anthony I would do my best to help him get back on his feet and off the street. He would love a job in the grocery market retail space. Support Cynthia’s Journey to Safety and Home

Cynthia has been living in this encampment for seven and a half years. Her story didn’t begin there. She became homeless after the death of her mother, whom she lovingly cared for while her mother suffered from dementia. When her mother passed away, Cynthia lost not only her parent, but her home. Over the years, Cynthia has survived things no human being ever should. She has endured violence, sexual assault, and nearly lost her life while living in the encampment. And yet, she is still kind. Still hopeful. Still here. Since meeting her, I’ve visited Cynthia multiple times, bringing food, supplies, and what financial help I can. But short-term help isn’t enough. Cynthia deserves safety. Stability. Dignity. She deserves to sleep without fear.
